How to tell which way your PC fan is blowing - carnesadving
willis_lai@idg.com Even seasoned PC builders sometimes have to take a moment to toy with which direction a fan is blowing. But as our video shows, figuring it out isn't hard the least bit.
Spend enough time around PC builders and PC building forums, and you'll learn pretty quick that the direction of a case or CPU cooler fan matters. When a devotee's positioned for consumption, the intent is to pull in air-cooled air. But when a fan is put off as an exhaust fan, the idea is to expel warm air away from the case operating room cooler. Both options are useful depending on where the fan resides in the build.

Look for the arrow
